A few years ago, I went through a period when I was obsessed with finding the perfect seafoam nail polish.
I remember coming across this image of Alexa Chung wearing the nail colour of my dreams paired with her turquoise YSL Arty ring and feeling like my life's mission was to track down that exact colour. People discussed what polish she was wearing, and amongst them, China Glaze For Audrey (though too dark and not green enough) was mentioned. During my obsessive phase, I bought so many variations of blue and green nail polish, constantly searching for that elusive pale blue with a mint/aqua tinge. But it continued to elude me. So I gave up, as by then, I already had a new nail craze, namely, orange/tangerine polish. However, For Audrey always stuck in a mind as an iconic nail polish that I needed in my collection.
There's not much to say about this polish except that it is a true Tiffany blue. My parents bought me a Tiffany & Co necklace for my 21st birthday and I compared the box to the nail polish on my fingers. 100% match. If you love the robin egg blue of the Tiffany packaging, you need For Audrey. For such a pigmented colour, it was surprising that I still needed 3 coats to get a streak-free finish, but the shade itself is so special that I forgive relatively minor formulation and application issues.
Looove this shade :) x
ReplyDeleteThis colour is amazing :)
ReplyDeleteSuch an apt name too :) So lovely :)

One of my all time favourite shades! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous colour! Definitely need to track this down for myself :)

Here's what has just happened.
ReplyDeleteI read this. I searched for it. I ordered it.
Beautiful shade :)
xo
Ah wow, it's a perfect match! I'd always heard about this shade, but never really saw anyone actually compare it with a box. Really eye-opening, I must say!
ReplyDeleteI actually visited the printing company that prints everything for Tiffany & Co. I got a Tiffany blue folder as a freebie! The color is just so timeless :)
I wish I'd read this post before placing my BeautyJoint order! Wahh. I love this post- I was teetering on the verge of removing it from my cart, and ended up omitting it because I thought it would be too yellow-based to suit my skintone. It looks gorgeous on you! And such a sweet gift from your parents! I love meaningful gifts like these on milestone birthdays- my parents do the same! xx
ReplyDeleteWow I'm really surprised that the colour's a 100% match! That's good to know! =D
ReplyDeleteI was obsessed with that colour a couple years back and I even have my room walls painted with a Tiffany focal wall and the rest white. In a way, kinda representing the iconic box and ribbon look.
I'm glad you posted this post because now I'm gonna go OCD and hunt down the colour! XD
one of my favorites for summer c:

So pretty! I went through a similar phase a few years ago and was shocked when my boyfriend presented me with Chanel Nouvelle Vague on my birthday because I had thought it was sold out everywhere!
ReplyDeleteS xx
I love this shade, it's so pretty! xx
ReplyDeleteAhh this shade is stunning :) x
ReplyDeleteThis shade is gorgeous! Really need to track this down x
ReplyDeleteTHis is one of my favourite shades. I absoluetly love China Glaze for their amazing colours. I actually don't remmeber having any issues with application with this one, but I could be wrong...at least China Glaze polishes tend to dry quickly so you wouldn't be waiting an eternity for 3 coats to dry!

That is a perfect match right there! I haven't used China Glaze polishes yet - shame on me. It's on my to-buy list, though!
ReplyDelete'During my obsessive phase, I bought so many variations of blue and green nail polish, constantly searching for that elusive pale blue with a mint/aqua tinge.'
I know exactly what you mean. I have four bottles with varying degrees of mint and aqua. Shhh such a hoarder! LOL
I've been crazy about this polish since I first saw it but have never ventured to get it because of the price tag :/

Def a must have shade! Maybe Alexa is wearing Essie's Mint Candy Apple? (Though I'm sure it was LE crap!)
ReplyDeleteLove the colour! I'm currently also wearing a shade similar to For Audrey and I adore it.
ReplyDeleteI became obsessed with teal everything, clothes, jewelry, shoes, eyeshadow, you name it, and then I gravitated towards mint green, still in the teal family but a lot more subtle. After seeing this nail polish colour, I can feel my obsession being rekindled LOL It's is a very pretty colour ^^ xx
ReplyDeleteI love that color on you =)
ReplyDeleteI want this so bad, it looks gorgeous! x

ReplyDeleteThat's a very gorgeous color on you! I love the Tiffany blue, so it's great that the polish is almost the exact same shade. :-)

The Lovely Memoir
I should've known better lol, every time I pass by this shade at my local nail polish store I never bought it even though I knew it was suppose to be an "it" color for Tiffany & Co. and now seeing your post makes me wanna hit myself for not getting it lol. >_<" I'm surprised that for such an opaque color it took 3 coats to be streak free, kind of a shame but like you said, the pretty color makes up for the hassle haha :P
ReplyDeleteLove that it's a true Tiffany blue. It looks great on you.
ReplyDeletePS: I'm hosting a giveaway at my blog today for Sedwick Studios, hope you enter! http://www.underlockandkeyblog.com/2012/08/sedwick-studio-giveaway.html

ReplyDeleteThis colour is gorgeous and I love that it's the EXACT same shade as the Tiffany box. I might need to track one of this down.
ReplyDeleteI am technologically incompetent too. But I am so happy that my computer is doing fine thus far!!! I think Google Chrome was to blame!!!

I just got this and I couldn't be happier! Wrote a review about it quite recently too. I will probably finish this up soon because I refuse to have any other color touch my nails at this point.
ReplyDeleteHere's my review :)

I love this color! Tiffany teal! Also, thanks for visiting my blog I'd love it if you want to support and follow me! =)
ReplyDeleteAs for how serums are, I find their effects are temporary. I use Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Serum on ocasional basis. I find that it's super effective on what it claims, BUT again it's temporary (i.e. effects only last for the day you are using it). I am not sure if anti-wrinkle serums work differently (have not tried them yet, but again I am skeptical of all anti-aging creams lol). I'd still stick with your regular facial creams if you want to stay hydrated.
Again, Thanks for visiting my blog!
Love,
Jenny
