Young Forever

OPI Teenage Dream. The name says it all really. It's unabashedly pink and glittery and girly, evoking images of tiaras and princess costumes and cotton candy. I remember when I was first experimenting with nail polish in primary school, my favourite polish was something very similar to Teenage Dream. It seems my tastes haven't progressed very far in the intervening years, because this polish is one of the most treasured in my collection. It's a silver/sparkly pink microglitter packed with uniform larger, rounded holographic glitter. Wear it as a party nail, for summer fun, or just to feel twelve again.

    2. Nope :( Also, I don't know why but my comments to your two most recent posts have disappeared into a black hole. The last one that I posted was actually a repost, because I discovered my comments were going missing so I copied and pasted one for my own future reference in case it went missing for the second time (which it did). So strange!

  10. so pretty! Shameful to say, my taste in nail polish hasn't moved much from teenage years. Still pinks and purple. I am getting brave these days and am willing to try different colors but my favorites are still pinks :)

    1. Oh no :( Would putting in some nail polish thinner work? I'm afraid to run out of my bottle, especially since it was a LE polish.

  21. lovely color!! I really LOVE glitter nail polish, only they're pain in the ass when it comes to removing :/ what nail polish remover do u use for glitter nail polishes?

    1. I just use whatever polish remover I have currently, which at the moment is this orange Sally Hansen one that I kind of hate, because I don't find it effective and it smells foul. I was using a Cutex one before which I liked a lot more because I found it less harsh and didn't stink as much.

Glitter polishes can be an absolute pain to remove. It depends on the brand and often how many coats I do. I find if I do more than 3 coats and then wear it over 4-5 days, after a while the nail polish starts to separate from the nail and I can actually peel the whole thing off. That is always the best way to remove nail polish for me, as I don't need to use nail polish remover or try to chip off the nail polish manually. Otherwise, it's a tedious job of soaking my nail in a lot of remover and just being patient :p

    1. Yay! Welcome aboard :)

It really depends what you like. Cremes? Foils/metallics? Glitter? Jelly? And also what colours - purple, green, blue, pink, orange, black, nude? So many options! You'll need to narrow it down for me :p

But just off the top of my head ... a few of my favourite polishes are:

      - OPI Teenage Dream
      - Revlon Scandalous (previously/aka Facets of Fuchsia)
      - Orly Rage (closest to a rose gold I've managed to find in a nail polish)
      - China Glaze Snow Globe (must have in my opinion, stunning top coat, pretty much like bottled opal flecks)
      - OPI Rainbow Connection (the ultimate glitter)
      - Butter London Yummy Mummy (lovely beige/nude creme)
