OPI Teenage Dream. The name says it all really. It's unabashedly pink and glittery and girly, evoking images of tiaras and princess costumes and cotton candy. I remember when I was first experimenting with nail polish in primary school, my favourite polish was something very similar to Teenage Dream. It seems my tastes haven't progressed very far in the intervening years, because this polish is one of the most treasured in my collection. It's a silver/sparkly pink microglitter packed with uniform larger, rounded holographic glitter. Wear it as a party nail, for summer fun, or just to feel twelve again.
Wow the colour is just gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and indeed really glittery and girly, looks very nice on your nails ^^ I do like sporting such sparkly colours on my nails from time to time. xx
ReplyDeletewow that is really really pretty!
ReplyDeleteyour photos are so crisp, it makes the polish even prettier!
how many coats did you apply to achieve that look?
x
I think this was 3, but you definitely can get away with only 2 :)
DeleteI own this nail polish as well and I love it
ReplyDeleteI swear you ALWAYS have the best and most beautiful nail polishes, I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! A combination of small glitters and big glitters and it's a lovely pink. Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt does evoke the tutu memories! You apply nail polish so well- I guess practice makes perfect! And I noticed you got Linkwithin, or something similar. Yay! x
ReplyDeleteMy Beautyjoint order came today! Has yours arrived? x
DeleteNope :( Also, I don't know why but my comments to your two most recent posts have disappeared into a black hole. The last one that I posted was actually a repost, because I discovered my comments were going missing so I copied and pasted one for my own future reference in case it went missing for the second time (which it did). So strange!
DeleteThis is so gorgeous and girly :)

so pretty! Shameful to say, my taste in nail polish hasn't moved much from teenage years. Still pinks and purple. I am getting brave these days and am willing to try different colors but my favorites are still pinks :)

I love this shade as much as you do! I actually got more than halfway through my bottle last summer and now it's all dry and gloppy :(
ReplyDeleteOh no :( Would putting in some nail polish thinner work? I'm afraid to run out of my bottle, especially since it was a LE polish.
DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeletexx,

Aw I love this polish! I didn't nab any of the Katy Perry collection and I regret it! This color looks great on you. And don't worry, my tastes haven't changed much either ;)

lovely color!! I really LOVE glitter nail polish, only they're pain in the ass when it comes to removing :/ what nail polish remover do u use for glitter nail polishes?
ReplyDeleteI just use whatever polish remover I have currently, which at the moment is this orange Sally Hansen one that I kind of hate, because I don't find it effective and it smells foul. I was using a Cutex one before which I liked a lot more because I found it less harsh and didn't stink as much.
DeleteGlitter polishes can be an absolute pain to remove. It depends on the brand and often how many coats I do. I find if I do more than 3 coats and then wear it over 4-5 days, after a while the nail polish starts to separate from the nail and I can actually peel the whole thing off. That is always the best way to remove nail polish for me, as I don't need to use nail polish remover or try to chip off the nail polish manually. Otherwise, it's a tedious job of soaking my nail in a lot of remover and just being patient :p
Oooo, this looks super cute!

I think I must have that nail polish. I quite anti glitter polish until this year, and now I can't get enough of them

ReplyDeleteHi, would you mind if i send some false eyelashes for you to try and review? i can't find anyway to contact you. It will be great if you can contact me through info@stellaeyelash.com.au .Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis glitter polish is so pretty. It reminds me of cotton candy.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty color! I've been eyeing Teenage Dream by OPI, but I cannot bring myself to pay so much for nail polishes :(
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm really glad I bought this. It definitely makes me feel girly, hehe.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favourite glitters, I love how girly it is and it definitely makes me feel like a kid when I wear it! x

That looks liks such a pretty shade! I'm new to your blog - hello!
ReplyDeleteWow this one is so gorgeous and fun!
ReplyDeleteSo much glitter and prettiness! I'm starting to get into nail polish now (oh no, more stuff to spend my money on), any you would recommend to me? :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Welcome aboard :)
DeleteIt really depends what you like. Cremes? Foils/metallics? Glitter? Jelly? And also what colours - purple, green, blue, pink, orange, black, nude? So many options! You'll need to narrow it down for me :p
But just off the top of my head ... a few of my favourite polishes are:
- OPI Teenage Dream
- Revlon Scandalous (previously/aka Facets of Fuchsia)
- Orly Rage (closest to a rose gold I've managed to find in a nail polish)
- China Glaze Snow Globe (must have in my opinion, stunning top coat, pretty much like bottled opal flecks)
- OPI Rainbow Connection (the ultimate glitter)
- Butter London Yummy Mummy (lovely beige/nude creme)
I love OPI products, incredable quality and reliability.
